Controller

job summary:

Controller

The Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting functions, evaluating and implementing new accounting systems, and preparing and presenting financial statements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and design of internal accounting, billing and cost system implementation.

  • Supervise the monthly close.

  • Handle accounts receivable, payroll, and purchasing.

  • Coordinate annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents.

  • Perform budget preparation, review budget proposals, and prepare supporting documentation for proposed budgets.

  • Provide management with timely reviews of organization's financial status.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory payroll and property tax reporting.

  • Oversee A/P function including, compliance with expense reporting, capitalization policy, and purchase order procedures.

  • Assist with strategic planning.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

  • 4-6 years of relevant industry experience (technology, healthcare, healthcare IT is highly preferred).

  • Experience supervising accounting staff.
