Network Engineer

job summary:

Engineer will communicate directly with peers and client. Coordination of network implementation at the client is key. Need senior level WAN engineering skills, understand telco solutions. Building connectivity. Expanding client skills and implementation

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:

Designs are integrated into client designs. Building connectivity to clients. Challenging working with clients and there vendors to deploy network. Providing a solid usable network connection to meet client needs and provide them with the proper failover design. The candidate will be part of a DCO team to migrate 250 clients to new network infrastructure as well as be engaged in ongoing DCO projects

qualifications:

  • College degree or comparable certification in IT (CCNA/CCNP), telecommunications, computer science, or related field is preferred.

  • Hands on experience in layer-3 protocols (EIGRP,BGP, etc), route distribution, route filtering, etc.. Hands on experience configuring and upgrading Cisco IOS. (ACL's, SNMP, IPSEC, VPN, Router Security).

  • Hands on experience using MS Visio network design software.

  • Hands on experience with QOS, NAT/PAT, MPLS, Frame Relay, ATM, VPN, VoIP.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required in design, planning, coordination and implementation of technology projects among multiple telecom and equipment vendors and customers.
