Workers Compensation Paralegal
Randstad is seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Paralegal for a permanent opportunity in Charleston. We are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of workers compensation experience.

In this role, you will review intake documents to ensure all information necessary to open a case in Trialworks has been gathered (and takes the appropriate steps to obtain any missing information) before sending the Intake Department a request to complete the case opening. You will also research coverage for workers compensation claims. This information must be entered into Needles before asking the Intake Department to complete the case opening process.You will generate required workers compensation forms and documents through Trialworks, transcribing dictation, revising or drafting documents as directed by supervising attorneys including, but not limited to, briefs, APAs, correspondence, demands, settlement documents and correspondence in a timely fashion. You will keep thorough documentation of notes in Trialworks and complete various tasks as assigned by attorneys in a timely fashion. You will be responsible for managing the scheduling of attorney calendars by sending requests to the legal assistant (and following up on the same) for client meetings, doctor meetings, IMEs, depositions, meditations, hearings, etc. You will process client mileage reimbursement forms and maintain custody of the physical file. File and update records, correspondence and file documents in an orderly and organized manner per established office procedures.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

*3 plus years of prior Worker's Compensation Paralegal experience
*High School Diploma
*Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
*Strong project management skills.
*Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
*Familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and scheduling in Outlook
