SBA Business Development Officer
We are looking for an experienced Government Guaranteed Lender/SBA Business Development Officer (BDO) to effectively develop SBA 7a, 504 and USDA loan opportunities in the candidate's respective market. The BDO would take SBA 7a, 504 and USDA loan applications from various referral sources and direct prospects and manage deals through the credit and closing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Originate new business through referrals and face to face contacts.
Prescreen loans with knowledge of SBA and USDA for proper structure, conformity, and eligibility with respect to the applicable loan program. Follow up on any exceptions or account matters.
Gather applications and perform preliminary financial analysis of required cash flow.
Provide the SBA credit department with complete packages.
Assist credit team with obtaining all necessary documentation needed to close the transaction.
Manage client relationships and expectations of new accounts by taking loan applications and providing customer service.
Act as primary liaison with the client and handle any issues/problems promptly.
Maintain and build open communication for the duration of the loan cycle.
Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum three years of SBA or USDA BDO experience required
Demonstrated ability to process and close a minimum of +$5M in SBA loans per year.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Thorough knowledge of SBA guidelines and processes.
Strong knowledge of SBA SOPs, program eligibility, credit criteria and loan structure requirements.
Strong working knowledge of the credit approval process and ability to gather and compile financial documents to submit for the credit package.
Thorough understanding of banking services.
General understanding of the commercial credit underwriting process.
Basic analytical and financial analysis skills.
Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related software applications
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Well organized; ability to multi task; attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
Must be able to work in a team environment and adapt to change
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast paced environment, high production, professional environment.
