Instructional Designer (remote)

job summary:

Seeking a temporary instructional designer to assist faculty members in designing and developing online courses.

Looking for an individual who has experience designing and developing fully-online courses, with experience in higher education, and particularly with experience working directly with faculty members.

We require individuals who can quickly adapt to our internal processes and culture and provide faculty members with robust support. The instructional designer will be assisting faculty members in the design, development, and implementation of 11 courses (8 for early May launch and 3 for late August launch). We will provide substantial onboarding related to the culture and processes as well as resources to learn unfamiliar technologies.

We anticipate 25-35 hours per week

  • 3-5 years of experience in instructional design with the higher education environment

  • Experience working directly with faculty members

  • Experience designing online and/or hybrid courses

  • Deep knowledge of learning outcomes development and instructional alignment

  • Experience using the Canvas Learning Management System
