Job Description:

The Vendor Management Office (VMO) IT Technology Specialist will be responsible for various vendor management lifecycle activities to enable to acquire IT technologies (Hardware and Software). Those will include for example: vendor selection, negotiation, service delivery, vendor performance monitoring and governance, and contract reviews. The VMO IT Technology Specialist will engage directly in all major vendor selections and contracts negotiations for IT technologies across multiple IT functional organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT vendor lifecycle activities for acquisition of IT Technologies (Hardware and Software).

  • Lead a team of IT vendor contractors' resources.

  • Lead contracting and business awards for core IT contracts for Hardware and Software.

  • Enable the IT organization to use the right IT Technology, driving clarity and compliance with the direction for when and how to introduce IT Technologies (working closely with the Architecture Review Board). Provide Governance of IT Technologies (including exit strategy and sunsetting plans).

  • Ensure vendor partner relationships are in place, through core metrics (for example, performance delivery), incentives, penalties and feedback mechanisms.

  • Deliver best in class terms and financial models for IT Technologies (for example, licenses and M&R, reseller model vs. direct purchase, licenses audit ).

  • Negotiate IT Service Level Agreements that focus on customer service and expense management.

  • Provide oversight of Vendor Audits and implement IT vendors Governance controls.

  • Ensure has the right participation to Customer Advisory Board and on-going executive engagement - including technology roadmap and co-innovation with the core IT Technology vendors ( Hardware and Software ).

  • Act as liaison between Finance/Procurement/Audit teams and vendor partners to resolve any day to day issues.

  • Establish tracking system for Vendor spend (including number of vendors), and analytics for continuous improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in IT related fields or Finance.

  • 5 years of relevant experience in an IT Vendor Management team.

  • 10-15 years' experience with direct contract negotiations for IT Vendors for IT Technologies (Hardware and Software). Managed 2-3 major contracts (3-5 years deals).

  • Must have extensive experience communicating with IT vendor teams' deal teams and executive representatives.

  • Experience as relationship manager with established and emerging IT Technology Vendors.

  • Strong IT technologies (Hardware and Software) landscape understanding is a plus.

  • Legal experience is a plus.

  • Exceptional organizational, conflict resolution and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must have the ability to multi-task, manage details, and execute effective follow through
