Our client, based in Concord, NH, is seeking an experienced claims representative

Location: Concord, NH

Pay: $15/hour Temp-hour

Hours:This position requires sitting at a desk, M-F, 8 - 5; some OT may be available, not mandatory

General Description:

  • Performs data entry of material from source documents to a computer database.

  • Transcribes routine pre-coded and identifiable alphanumeric data from source document and/or phone call into an automated system.

  • Ensures accuracy and completeness data.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen internal and external adjustment requests for compliance with guidelines and contract requirements.

  • Enter batch control records into the MMIS.

  • Prepare requests for scanning.

  • Enter adjustment requests into the MMIS, making necessary adjustments as requested within the guidelines of New Hampshire Medicaid.

  • Process all suspended adjustment transactions according to internal and contractual requirements.

  • Prepare and log documents to be returned to the provider.

  • Process claims that have suspended in the Fiscal Agent locations.

  • Meet Quality Assurance and production standards of Claims Department.

Additional Duties:

  • Will be working directly with clients with regarding a variety of questions regarding claims

  • These calls will vary in complexity. You will learn various key healthcare terms.

  • You will field 25-30 calls per day with regarding various stages of claims

  • Triage calls, such as complex claims, to other departments based on the situation

  • Work with Medicare and Medicaid

  • Keying in key information into client file relative to claims

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

  • Attention to detail

  • Show up on time, every day

  • Production environment where they are an individual contributor and targets for quantity of work done is measured

  • All work reviewed by the QA team, quality has to be there as well

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a production environment, working quickly and accurately in resolving pended adjustment transactions.

  • Strong analytical, comprehension, and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and directions.

  • Personal computer experience.

  • Must be detailed oriented.

  • Must have good organizational skills and decision-making ability.

  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

  • Excellent attendance required.
