Senior Electrical Engineer

Permanent position: Manufacturing leader is looking to hire a Sr. Project Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering. This role will be located in the Dallas, Texas area. The ideal candidate will possess a BSEE with some solid project engineering experience with a focus on capital engineering projects from conception to completion and working with external contractors with a focus on safety. This role comes with a very competitive compensation plan commensurate with experience with a base salary ranging from $100k to $115k plus bonus. Excellent relocation package available for cAndidates willing to relocate. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities for the Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Take ownership of engineering projects from conception to completion as self directed work, applying all areas of engineering expertise to obtain feasible, effective solutions

  • Work with the maintenance and production teams to resolve operational problems and identify new opportunities. Conduct engineering analyses and present recommendations

  • Develop detailed justifications for capital expenditures and prepare project authorization forms with supporting documentation

  • Provide effective, regular communication of project status both verbally and in writing at multiple levels within the organization

  • Perform daily oversight of contractor work and coordinate with plant operations to ensure capital projects are executed efficiently and with minimal interference to manufacturing operations

  • Coach, lead and mentor junior engineers

Requirements for the Senior Electrical Engineer

  • BSEE is required

  • Candidates need to possess a strong background in a manufacturing environment with a background in capital project management

  • Demonstrated experience in managing external contractors and ensuring the highest level of safety engagement

  • Strong ability to manage multiple capital projects and engineering assignments

  • Proficiency in creating and editing complex schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD

  • Extensive experience with safety systems to include Lock/Tag/Verify, permitting and behavior based safety

  • Design and field experience with variable frequency drives, power distribution and/or PLC's
