IT Delivery Project Manager

job summary:

Randstad is looking for a Project Manager to join their team for a long term contract.

M-F 8am-5pm; 25-30% traveling

Job Description:

  • Energetic and passionate IT Delivery Project Manager responsible for day-to-day delivery of assigned projects within the portfolio assigned. Direct management of Associate Project Manager, Project Coordinators, and Business Administrators assigned within the portfolio.

  • Full project financial responsibility required, including expense tracking (labor, materials, and vendor involvement), invoicing, forecasting, and accounts receivable oversight.

  • Strong coaching and mentoring of assigned portfolio team members. Position requires a full understanding and adherence to project statements of work with ability to execute change management as required within the assigned project portfolio.

  • Comfortable with executive briefings and customer status calls with full project reporting both written and verbal.

  • Continuous service improvement is part of the cultural DNA and a background in participating/leading six sigma initiatives is a benefit.

Required/Desired Skills:

  • At least 5 years of professional IT Delivery Project Management experience with skills in:

  • Management of Infrastructure deployment or software project teams

  • Schedule Management

  • Project Communications

  • Project Planning

  • Revenue/Cost Management including forecasting

  • Scope Management

  • Change Control and Issue Management

  • Risk and Quality Management

  • Vendor Management

Requirements :

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Solid organizational skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong Customer/account management skills

  • Superior project documentation skills

  • Superior problem solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast pace and matrix environment

Optional/Prefered:

  • PMP and/or ITIL certification or equivalent

  • Six Sigma green or black belt

  • Internetworking, wireless/RF experience
