Administrative Assistant

Do you have a positive attitude and cheerful disposition? Are you a self-starter and have a superb ability to pay attention to details? If so, we are looking for you! We're hiring an administrative assistant to join the team for a mid-size business in the industrial business park part of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

In this business casual environment you will answer phones for the department, work with customers and provide administrative support to various departments. The ideal candidate for this position is experienced, organized, resourceful and a good problem solver.

Responsibilities:

As an administrative assistant you will be responsible for general clerical functions, including correspondence, filing, answering department phone calls and special projects. You will help with preparing reports and updating spreadsheets and provide back-up assistance to the Sales Assistant when needed. Excel (intermediate), Microsoft Word and typing skills will be critical to success in this role.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

Professional verbal and written communication meeting highest levels of customer service

Answering telephones, direct incoming department calls and take messages

Attend meetings and take meeting notes/minutes

Computing, recording and proofreading data and other information, such as records and reports

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous administrative experience in a corporate business setting

Ability to work full-time, 8 am to 5 pm

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Effective at planning, organization and time management

Ability to work independently

Confidence working with all levels of internal and external contacts
