job summary:

Cost Accountant

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support multiple aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual financial close and reporting process as it relates to inventory and operational variances

  • Ensure proper valuation of inventory, in line with Company financial policy

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of the annual physical inventory

  • Preparation of operational metrics, analysis and reporting of same to management

  • Participate in cross functional process improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies

  • Travel as necessary

  • Participate in the training of others

  • Understand and follow applicable Company practices, policies and procedures.

  • Work safely

  • Other functions or projects which may assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum 5-year relevant work experience in operational cost accounting/financial analysis

  • Demonstrate strong oral/written communication skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally

  • Proficient t in Microsoft Office suite and other Financial system/analysis tools

  • Ability to analyze complex issues and develop appropriate action plans

  • Deliver timely results

  • Lead projects/assignments
