System Administrator

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:

  1. Provides technical hardware/software computer support by phone, e-mail, and in person.

  2. Responds to desktop, server, phone, and complex system technical issues.

  3. Configures and sets up new server - infrastructure hardware.

  4. Manages and maintains systems as assigned.

  5. Ensures and tracks that company assets are maintained responsibly.

  6. Participates in the management of enterprise data protection efforts to support disaster recovery and business continuity.

  7. Manages the administration and installation of the company's infrastructure.

  8. Deploys and maintains the company's telephone system.

  9. Recommends and plans information technology to support and meet company objectives based on research and evaluation.

  10. Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with others.

  11. Must be present during working hours at the office for in person meetings and access to a computer without violating company policy.

  12. Stays abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.

  13. Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.

  14. Perform other specific projects relating to IT operations as needed.

  15. Participate in department meetings and other related activities as needed.

qualifications:

    • 10+ years hands on, in a systems administrator role managing at minimum 200+ servers.- 10+ years hands on implementing active directory, GPO, OU structure, group/user permissions & security- 3+ years PowerShell scripting- Must have direct hands on experience building servers from the ground up, including active directory build out with all server roles. Must be in a production environment and not a lab or home setup.- Must have completed domain migrations from one AD domain to another.- Knowledge of email migration from on prem to on prem.- Knowledge of disaster recovery best practices with real life implementation, failover, and backup.

  • Expert in Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows servers.

  • Exchange 2016

  • MS SQL

  • 3+ years of Powershell

  • Disaster Recovery
