Sr. Business Analyst
The Business Analyst influences and builds relationships on project teams.
This individual will represent and speak on behalf of the IT department and its work to those inside and outside the department in a clear, convincing, and organized manner.
The Business Analyst will approach each situation with a clear perception of organizational and political realities; recognizing the impact of alternative courses of action; builds networks and develops alliances with external groups, as necessary.
The Business Analyst ensures IT efforts are aligned with the business objectives, work is properly prioritized, planned, and executed through the SDLC policies and procedures; and ensure quality of application changes and solutions.
This position is responsible for clear and convincing presentations of facts and ideas to individuals or groups.
Primary responsibilities of position will include, but are not limited to: documenting business requirements/user stories and test scenarios, identifying process steps, researching issues and problem solving, collecting and analyzing data, testing new services and systems, and planning and conducting effective training sessions for end-users.

Requirements Elicitation, Management, and Analysis - Drives consensus for a desired future state that meets the business problem and enterprise objectives; Can uncover needs that business partners and end users would not be able to articulate on their own and provide solutions. -- 50%
Project Management and Process Adherence -Meets with business partners, and solution leads to understand current system needs, future goals and help to establish realistic technical solutions and timetables for completion -- 20%
Architecture Design Usability: identify the requirements to ensure end-to-end service performance from the end user's perspective. Gain business sponsor commitment for additional resources required to ensure usability. Provide functional and business process knowledge during all aspects of upgrades, enhancements and/or new technology solutions, that fit best practices and procedures -- 10%
Diverse Team Player: Builds long-term relationships with PMO, Business partners, and IT staff to ensure a projects are successful -- 10%
Business Partner Satisfaction - In accordance and guidance with the IT business solutions manager, follow up on DSAT items with our business partners and provide feedback to IT on trends in order for the betterment of the department. -- 5%
Project Chartering - Understand business idea and translate that to measurable proposed project benefits, project scope, assumptions, and constraints. Be the voice of the customer to help sell the idea to management in order to gain approval for project -- 5%
Documentation- Develops necessary documentation associated with recommended business system changes, aligning them to functional and system processes -- 100%
Excellent relationship building, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present and translate IT information to internal staff and management in relevant business terms
Display initiative, effort, and commitment in carrying out organizations and departments mission and strategies
Acts in a proactive and achievement-oriented, entrepreneurial, manner.
Business Analyst skills
Skilled at defining and documenting business and functional requirements for ongoing system enhancement initiatives
Must have knowledge of different visual models: Data Flow, Mind Map, Activity Diagram, etc
Clear understanding of SDLC and different methodologies associated (Waterfall, Agile, etc)
Ability to travel as needed
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline
5+ years as an analyst working on complex projects or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven track record of successfully delivered application solutions
Ability to work independently or in a team environment and be able to exercise tact, discretion, and professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers
Demonstrate ethics and integrity according to the company's principles and values.
Display drive and purpose while exhibiting leadership stature.
Be self-accountable and admit when mistakes are made.
Great interpersonal skills, communicate clearly, and precise writing techniques
Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment across functional departments
Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and support commitments
Requires excellent product and project management skills (estimating, work planning, project reporting and tracking, issue management)
Strong sense of ownership and thoroughness, with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly
