Program Coordinator

job summary:

Title: Business Development Operations Associate

(2 positions Android Mobile, 1 position Android Auto)

Android is the world's largest mobile computing platform & ecosystem. Key to Android's rapid growth are the strategic partnerships we develop with global players in the mobile, auto and TV space. These partnerships require scalable operations to sustain Android's expansion.

  • In this role, you'll work closely with the Business Development and Legal teams on cross-functional efforts to support the distribution of the Android platform and Mobile Services with our automotive partners.

  • These efforts include driving the contracting process for non-negotiated licensing and distribution deals and promoting strategic programs directly to our partners.

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to follow through with the execution of business development efforts to transform opportunities into actions and provide support to the partners and Business Development team.

  • You will need strong project management skills, a strong bias towards action, and a rigorous operational mindset to add structure to a fast growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Close various non-negotiated business agreements with partners which may include distribution agreements, amendments, and renewals (core responsibility)

  • Run operations

  • ensure delivery of program promises, problem solve to remove blockers, constantly examine existing processes to improve adoption of programs

  • Design and document operational processes

  • Provide post-deal support including issue resolution, workshop facilitation and coordination with marketing on updates to the Android Auto website

  • Provide updates and metrics reporting to cross-functional teams

  • Follow-up with partners to obtain regular reporting

  • Understanding of Android platform and ecosystem to be able to communicate its value to your external counterparts.

Skill/Experience/Education

  • Mandatory_BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Prior experience (4+ years) in program management or operational oriented capacity

  • Partner-facing experience is highly valued, either in a prior external business development role or client-facing role at services firm

  • Experience working in the internet or consumer hardware space

  • Experience with Docs/Sheets/Slides or MS Office

  • Ability to interpret legal documents and work with attorneys to complete agreements

  • Ability to clarify and summarize issues.

  • Sharp, analytical and possess detail-oriented skills

Desired

  • A strong understanding of consumer electronics and the mobile value chain

  • Paralegal background or prior legal related experience with contracts

  • Experience in business with automotive technologies, including infotainment programs

  • Creative, results driven, able to zoom from strategy to execution, business minded, and collaborative.

  • Understanding of Android platform and ecosystem to be able to communicate its value to your external counterparts.
