Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

job summary:

Senior Financial Reporting Analyst - New York, NY

  • This is a contract role expected to last 6 months.

Senior Financial Reporting Analyst - Job Duties:

  • Active team member for a multi-year enterprise-wide program that consists of hundreds of projects that span across multiple areas, functions, and/or lines of business

  • Conducts research and analysis to ensure all initiatives are consistent and follow program guidance

  • Provides financial and non-financial updates to department leadership regarding program status through reports, status dashboards, scorecards, etc.

  • Reports on the progress of all initiatives and milestones, to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met across the program

  • Provides information to end users to help resolve inquiries related to assigned processes, procedures, and/or initiatives.

  • Works on basic to more complex financial analyses assignments or projects

  • Prepares financial reports by downloading information from single or multiple sources, compiles databases and formulates spreadsheets

  • Provides thought leadership and financial modeling support on business case development

  • Identifies program financial trends, issues, and risks, providing guidance to senior leadership

  • Applies strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve challenges

  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with team members and other key departments

  • Assists Program manager with administrative functions such as meetings, meeting minutes, content management, etc.

Job Qualifications:

  • 3 page resume limit

  • 5-10 years industry experience with BA/BS, preferably in Finance or Accounting

  • Expertise in MS Excel (lookups, pivot tables, complex formula creation) and high level of proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications

  • Prior experience with financial and management reporting, including an understanding of financial practices and processes

  • Ability to distil large amounts of data into clear concise formats for easier reporting and analysis

  • Exceptional, analytical, prioritization, presentation development and program management skills, including a meticulous attention to detail

  • Show business maturity, have strong presence and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong leadership qualities, influential leadership skills, interpersonal skills and team orientation needed to build partnerships and work successfully across all teams

  • Ability to lead and/or work simultaneously on multiple large, complex projects

  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues with appropriate levels of judgement
