Help Desk Associate

A local company is seeking an IT Help Desk processional to join their team! This position is with a Fortune 100 company that offers a professional and team work environment, as well as, opportunities for career growth!

Responsibilities:

-Respond to incoming requests and resolve customer problems via the telephone, email, web, etc.

-Supporting network and email connectivity, computer operating systems, hardware and software applications, internally developed applications, mainframe and midrange operations.

-Records inquiries, provides input on, resolves or directs requests to appropriate technical area or vendor, tracks status and follows up to ensure client satisfaction.

-Escalates to or consults with senior staff when solution is unclear.

-Reports problems with procedures and makes suggestions for improvements.

-Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

-Technical aptitude with PC literacy skills.

-Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems.

-Basic knowledge of a LAN/WAN environment.

-Problem solving skills and decision making ability.

-Enthusiasm and desire to learn.

-Work well in a team environment.

-Written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

-Background of customer service/call center, along with a technical background is required in this role.

-Prior Help Desk experience is preferred.

-Preferred experience in a high volume call center.

-Excellent communication is required.

-Sufficient knowledge of IT operations, responsibilities, work flow process and procedures to resolve most inquiries independently.

-Ability to learn and apply technical information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.

-Ability to follow policies and procedures; attention to detail.

-Good analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with client and other staff.
