Business Planning Analyst
Randstad is seeking a Business Planning Analyst for a contract assignment at one of its biotechnology clients in San Diego, CA. This client is a leading developer, manufacturer, and supplier of premium molecular diagnostic products and services that are used to diagnose human diseases, screen donated human blood, and aid in biomedical research. You will work in an atmosphere that is stimulating, innovative, and customer focused.
Lead small cross-functional teams to continuously improve business planning practices, resolve planning process issues, and further develop enterprise system/SW tools supporting Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
Analyze Sales, Marketing, and Operational master data and resolve data translation issues across systems (e.g. Oracle, RapidResponse, Qliksense, etc.).
Analyze global product sales/shipment data and contribute towards the development and refinement of ongoing product forecasts and supply plans.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Ability to learn new systems quickly and mine data from enterprise systems.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills. Proven capability to lead small teams and drive results.
Ability to work effectively and negotiate with colleagues, build trust and consensus, and influence the actions of others.
Ability to develop and manage project plans including scope, key deliverables, timing, and resources.
Bachelors degree in Business, Operations Management, Information Systems, Statistics, or similar required. MS, M.B.A or equivalent degree desirable.
Minimum of 3-5 years? experience in a business analyst, project management, process improvement, and/or Sales & Operations (S&OP) planning role.
Experience with large data sets, BI tools, Excel, and Powerpoint. Previous experience with Oracle ERP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, or similar systems highly desirable.
