Accounts Payable Analyst

job summary:

Accounts Payable Analyst - San Francisco, CA

  • This is a contract role expected to last 9 months.

  • The Sr. AP Analyst will be responsible for all Accounts Payable Accounting related functional tasks and report to the Sr. AP Manager. This role will be the point of contact for all acquisitions to determine the specific impact to the A/P operations and will be the Subject Matter Expert for the Publisher Payment Process. As with most accounting roles, time off during the accounting close period is expected to be limited.

Accounts Payable Analyst - Job Duties:

  • Deliver daily, monthly and quarter (as appropriate) metrics for the A/P, Procurement and T&E teams. Coordinate with respective teams to determine variance explanations and rationale for output.

  • Perform all monthly A/P reconciliations and deliver according to Close Schedule. In addition, manage the A/P close tasks to ensure due dates are met according to the Close Schedule.

  • Manage and deliver all A/P PBC/Audit/SOX requests. Coordinate all audit/SOX deliverables with the respective Audit Team or SOX team members. Work with the management team and the SOX team to ensure the A/P Controls meet the current needs of the business.

  • Subject Matter Expert for all acquisitions affecting the accounts payable functional area. This includes, but is not limited to, determining and managing a checklist of tasks/functions impacting future delivery of invoice payments, uncashed check reporting, Misc Income reporting (1099), balance transfers, etc.

  • Subject Matter Expert for Publisher Payment Process. This includes, but is not limited to, proactively meeting with business partners to ensure processes meet the needs of the business, follow-up on all rejected payments, ensure Publishers are added appropriately to the Supplier Master, etc. Perform funding and payment initiation for publisher payments in accordance with procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Business related field required

  • A minimum 3-4 years of AP or related experience with a multi-national company

  • Excellent knowledge of ERP software, proficiency with Oracle R12

  • Knowledge of, and ability to improve upon, internal control processes as they pertain to the AP function
