Contract position: An Equipment Management Specialist is needed for an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related services and products in the South San Francisco, CA area. This position will define and implement delivery and operational workflows for equipment in a variety of lab spaces, including wet labs, hardware labs, chemistry labs and genomics labs. No per diem available. No travel is anticipated.
Responsibilities for the Specialist
Serve as the at-large system administrator for equipment management software. Track, tag, and monitor all equipment locations, capital assets, and calibration schedules.
Coordinate and schedule repairs, maintenance, calibrations, and safety inspections with onsite facilities team and external vendors; work to reduce equipment downtime.
Ensure all work performed meets quality and financial standards, partner with other business units. Evaluate equipment performance, generate reports of downtime, costs and impact to business teams to senior leadership.
Requirements for the Specialist
A Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience is required.
Must have experience with business software systems, particularly equipment/asset management software such as Maximo, SAP, BlueMountain RAM.
Experience with vendor management, working in wet labs and/or hardware labs, and managing equipment under GxP.
