Purchasing Clerk

Our high-quality product line features products designed to help protect facility occupants from exposure to indoor air contaminants, monitor the quality of the indoor air environment, and help control airborne contaminants during construction and renovation projects. We are seeking a Purchasing Clerk and someone who is self directed and an independent thinker.

Responsibilities:

Will track, replenish, and expedite inventory, supplier orders, and non-stock goods and monitor supplier lead times.

Relay information in a timely manner to the sales team regarding inventory and address product shortages and overages, as needed.

Maintain and update current supplier records, purchasing agreements, conditions and promotions within the ERP P21 system.

Process purchase orders and supply requisitions.

Assist with the return of defective merchandise to suppliers.

Assist with issues concerning product quality, product failures, packaging or labeling of goods.

Track open orders and re-allocate inventory for back orders, as necessary.

Enter new part numbers in the company's ERP system.

Update and distribute Kanban equipment inventory report indicating current stock of key items and scheduled date of replenishment.

Assist with reporting and resolving supplier invoices, quality and packaging disputes, reported inventory damages and short shipments.

Enter new part numbers into the company's computer system.

Trace and expedite order status and shipments on behalf of customers and Company salespeople.

Expedite or delay shipments as need to respond to market changes.

Maintain and update current supplier records, purchasing agreements, conditions and promotions.

Support the continuous improvement program by documenting and assisting in developing best work practices for purchasing and inventory control.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

Minimum of one year of purchasing or inventory control experience, preferably in a related industry.

Must be detail oriented, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient computer skills.
