Permanent position: A prominent manufacturer of industrial pumps and vacuum systems is looking for Regional Sales Manager to work remotely and cover their assigned territory. The Sales Manager will work with the company's existing manufacturing rep network, and will also call directly on prospective new business. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self starter who is entrepreneurial minded and also experienced in this industry. The role will include a base salary plus commission plus annual bonus. The ideal candidate will reside in the Northeast or Midwest. Salary to exceed $100K mark.
Responsibilities for the Sales Manager
Sell products and services, provides alternative product/service solutions to exceed customer expectations, prepares detailed quotations, bids, and sale contracts and associated correspondence for pumps, parts, and systems based on technical and commercial specifications, follows up on orders, and solves client-related problems
Schedule joint sales calls with the Company's reps in their specified territories. Train reps on product, applications, best practices for selling the Company's products, and market intelligence
Communicate in person and by phone with representatives and direct accounts such as OEM's
Achieve and exceed assigned sales goals by developing action plans and schedules to identify specific sales prospects, targets, and/or markets
Prepare for and attend trade shows, exhibits, conferences, meetings, and other local, regional, and national promotional opportunities. Prepare and present proposals, pricing, credit terms, to customers
Requirements for the Sales Manager
BS in technical or business field preferred
5-7 years' experience in the industrial process pump industry (fluid and vacuum) desired
Prior experience in outside sales via a representative network or industry manufacturer required
