Application Engineer

Permanent position: Application engineer needed in Torrance, California to assist with the design work for thin film coatings. Must have 2+ years of experience working with thin film coatings. Must be able to communicate with design and engineering team as well as clients that may need any support. This is a direct hire position with a multi-location company that is growing dramatically. Responsibilities for the Application Engineer

  • Work with clients and customers to help understand product development.

  • Ability to understand the design and adjust if need be for client satisfaction.

  • Review coating design results and prescribe changes if necessary.

Requirements for the Application Engineer

  • 2+ years experience with thin film coatings?

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office programs; Word, Excel, Outlook, Sales force, Macola ERP and TF Calc or other thin optical modeling software.

  • BS degree in a technical discipline (prefer physics, electrical engineering, or optical engineering).

  • Ability to read and adjust designs for clients.
