Quality Engineer

Permanent position: Immediate opening for a Quality Engineer out at a precision manufacturing plant in the Winston-Salem, NC area. This position performs quality engineering functions by assisting in developing, implementing and administrating quality specifications, test methodologies, process validation and/or qualifications for products and processes.

Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer

  • This position reports to the Director of Quality. It is expected to understand FDA regulations and ISO 13485:2016 requirements; provide quality-engineering expertise for the continuous improvement of product and process and provide engineering input for corrective and preventative action. Participation in audits by internal and external parties is expected.

  • Ability to read blueprints; Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); Production Part Approval Process (PPAP); Process Validation and Statistical Analysis

  • Develop and complete PPAP and Process Validations; Assist in the design of inspection fixtures for vision and CMM inspection; Perform statistical analysis using Minitab; Participate in applicable Quality System audits.

Requirements for the Quality Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required in a technical field (Engineering preferred).

  • 3+ years as a Quality Engineer (preferred)

  • 2+ years in an FDA regulated industry in a Quality function

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) (preferred)
